THIS PROGRAM IS FOR YMCA MEMBERS ONLY.

Our Dolphins swim team is open to swimmers ages 5-8, or those new to competitive swimming. All swimmers must be able to complete one lap (25 yards) of a continuous and recognizable stroke without the need of flotation.

Dolphins will practice 1 hour per day, 4 days per week. Practice days are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday starting at 5:30 pm. 

All  swim team practices will happen at the Wilkes-Barre Area High School pool located at 2021 Wolfpack Way, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18705. The pool is located at the very left side of the building, with closest parking being available in Lot C. Practices may change according to the availability of the YMCA pool. 

There is a $35 registration fee upon signing up your participant. This $35 fee is for our booster club fee. This covers the cost of caps and shirts for each participant. 

In the event that the high school needs to cancel a single day of practice, practice may be able to be moved to the YMCA. As fees are season based, credits/refunds will not be given unless there are extenuating circumstances. All refund and credit requests can only be approved by the Aquatics Coordinator.

The Freeland YMCA Summer Swim Team is open to swimmers from ages 5-21, or those new to competitive swimming. Swimmers do not need prior experience but must be able to complete one length of the pool confidently, jump in, and put face in water. Do not register for team  until completing tryouts.

Free tryout is June 10th from 8am-9am & June 11th from 9am-10am at the CVCO Pool

Practices will be held at the following times: Mondays & Wednesdays 7:30am-9:00am and Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30am-10:00am

Meets dates are 6/24, 7/8, 7/15, 7/22 with championships on 8/2 in Bloomsburg

Our High School swim team is open to swimmers ages 13-19, or those new to competitive swimming. All swimmers must be able to complete one lap (25 yards) of a continuous and recognizable stroke without the need of flotation. Also, the ability to swim over 1,000 yards (or 40 laps) broken, or consecutively, is highly recommended.

Our high schoolers will practice 2 hours per day, 4 days per week. Practice days are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday starting at 6 pm.

All  swim team practices will happen at the Wilkes-Barre Area High School pool located at 2021 Wolfpack Way, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18705. The clinic will run for 2 hours on Sunday from 6/7 from 12-2. We will improve starts, dives, and stroke turns.
